Providing and promoting an environment
where safeguarding is everyone’s
responsibility.
WR1 Deliver a wider curriculum (Be WorkReady: Skills for Jobs, Skills for Life,
enrichment and experiences of work)
that develops the dispositions necessary
for work.

Continually reviewing safeguarding
practices and processes and embedding
safeguarding training and awareness,
including digital safeguarding, throughout
all levels of the organisation.
WR2 Ensure all programmes are influenced
by employers and other partners in relation
to programme design, delivery and
assessment (Super Skills Six).
Delivering a personal development
entitlement which encourages students
to take accountability and supports,
empowers and keeps students and
staff safe.
WR3 Deliver an appropriate work-related digital
skills entitlement across all programmes.

Providing a supportive, safe and inclusive
environment, both physically and online,
that prepares all students with the
knowledge and skills to access the full
curriculum.
WR5 The Bury College Guarantee: a College
place for every Bury young person who
desires it and a curriculum footprint that
facilitates this inclusive practice.

Fulfilling organisational responsibilities for
reporting, referrals, record-keeping
and multi-agency work, as set out in
‘Working together to safeguard children’
and ‘Keeping children safe in education’.
