If you do not achieve a Grade 4 in
GCSE English and/or Maths, you will
continue to study these subjects as part of
your timetable, to ensure that you have no
barriers to your progression.
GCSE ENGLISH
Our pass rate is above the national
average for post-16 GCSE resit students.
GCSE MATHS
For some students, you will continue with your GCSE
studies to improve your grade(s). This will not only build your
confidence but will help you to succeed in life after College.

Instead, some students will study Functional Skills as a
stepping stone to GCSE studies. During your Functional
Skills programme, you will develop skills in reading, writing
and communication, in addition to core mathematical skills.
