Chanel Barber completed her GCSE Maths
alongside her main course at college. She said:
& MATHS
“I am very thankful to have
passed my GCSE Maths.
The tutors have helped me
along the way, and it feels
great to have achieved this
qualification.”
If you have not achieved a Grade 4 in
GCSE English and/or Maths, you will
continue to study these subjects as part of
your timetable, to ensure that you have no
barriers to your progression.
Chanel has now progressed to
Edge Hill University to
study Business
Management.
For some students, you will continue with your GCSE
studies to improve your grade(s). This will not only build your
confidence but will help you to succeed in life after college.
Instead, some students will study Functional Skills as a
stepping stone to GCSE studies. During your Functional
Skills programme, you will develop skills in reading, writing
and communication, in addition to core mathematical skills.
To help you complete your English and Maths qualifications,
you will be supported by experienced members of staff
who will do all they can to help you achieve your goals.
