More adults are choosing an Apprenticeship to help them gain
the knowledge, skills and industry experience they need for
a new career, or to upskill themselves in their current roles.
Bury College works with employers

Apprentices are paid employees of the
organisation and are in employment
with the business they complete an
Apprenticeship with.
You may already be employed, and an
Apprenticeship can provide a formal
training programme to develop you
further in your current role.

Removal of mandatory English and
maths quali昀椀cations: Apprentices
who begin their training at age 19 or
older are no longer required to achieve
Level 2 Functional Skills quali昀椀cations
in English and maths to complete their
apprenticeship, if agreed with the employer.
